Wesley College is an on-campus residential college at the University of Sydney. Soon to enter its centenary year, the College houses 275 students from rural, regional, and interstate areas of Australia and beyond. Christopher Doyle & Co. engaged to conduct an audit of the current identity and found opportunities to unify their presence across print and digital mediums.
Together with illustrator and typographer Dave Foster, they worked to recreate the iconic college crest. Being mindful of the crest’s visual heritage and symbolism, they focus on crafting a modern, scalable version that ensured legibility and stood out in all formats.
To complement the crest, the creative team developed type, image and visual systems that reference the school’s open and welcoming culture and updated their rich history for a modern era.
The Wesley College brand is strengthened through every page, encouraging students and potential students to learn more about the university.
The culmination of this work is a comprehensive image library and set of brand guidelines that provide a platform for the college to produce effective communication across all mediums within a consistent visual framework.
