The MyChart app is designed to give patients access to their medical records, allow them to communicate non-urgent messages with their physicians, and manage key health data all in one place.
The app also allows users to manage their prescriptions. All of their current prescriptions are listed in one place. Users have access to information about their prescription, including dosage and instructions for use. Through the app users are able to request a refill from their physician on one or all of their prescriptions.
Upcoming appointments are also tracked through the app. Listed on a single screen, appointment reminders include key appointment information such as date, time, physician information, and location. Users can check-in to appointments virtually through the app, and even cancel appointments they’re unable to keep. Of course, the option to find and book appointments also exists.
The app includes the ability to message directly with an existing physician about non-urgent health issues. Responses are saved so the patient always has a record of communications they’ve had.
Finally, users can link their health tracking devices to keep track of things like blood pressure, weight, and physical activity.
The app is designed in shades of pink, with most text shown in lightweight blacks and greys, punctuated by more accents of pink. Bright green calls-to-action stand out nicely from the rest of the app. The card design used for prescriptions and appointments helps keep the app feeling orderly and well-organized. Fonts are large and readable, with enough negative space to ensure different areas of text are easily distinguished.
